Rotorua Aero Club was proud to host the Flying NZ welcome BBQ on the 24th of July 2026, welcoming around 60 members from clubs around New Zealand ahead of the weekend’s events. With the hard work of the Aero Club volunteers, there was plenty of delicious food and refreshments for everyone. A special thank you to Katie for preparing the slow cooked beef, which was a huge hit with our guests. The event was a fantastic opportunity for members to catch up with old friends, meet new faces, and enjoy the warm hospitality of Rotorua Aero Club. It was great to see so many people sharing stories, talking aviation, and enjoying a relaxed evening together. A big thank you to everyone who helped organize, prepare, cook and clean yup. Events like these wouldn’t be possible without the support of our amazing aero club members, and we were proud to showcase our club to the wider Flying NZ community.
